About my book
In Life After The NFL, I share a story of hope, faith, and resilience. From this book I hope to inspire you to dream big and reach for the stars. No matter what the challenge, through belief in God and yourself you can make it. This book contains life lessons of how an inner-city youth made it to the NFL and beyond. It has been nearly 18 years since I sat in that cold office getting the news, “we have to let you go.” But through faith, determination, belief in God and myself the inner strength was gained dream again. After leaving the NFL, I went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy in marriage and family therapy. I also was hired as the team clinician for the Miami Dolphins for five years. This platform offered me an opportunity to work with countless NFL players. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I currently have the privilege of working for JAFCO a non-for-profit agency with abused and neglected children.
